Srinagar, Nov 19: The Government today ordered the transfer of three Indian Police Service (IPS) officers from Delhi to Jammu & Kashmir. The decision, issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs, is part of routine administrative reshuffling aimed at strengthening the policing framework in the Union Territory.
Officials confirmed that the officers will assume new responsibilities in J&K, where they are expected to contribute to law and order management, counter-insurgency operations, and public safety initiatives. The transfers are intended to bring experienced personnel into key positions to enhance efficiency and coordination across the security apparatus.
The move comes at a time when the administration is focusing on improving governance and ensuring stability in the region. Authorities emphasized that the officers’ expertise will be utilized to reinforce ongoing efforts in maintaining peace and supporting developmental activities.
