New Delhi, July 1: Air Marshal Tejinder Singh today assumed charge as the Chief of Integrated Defence Staff to the Chairman, Chiefs of Staff Committee (CISC). He succeeds Lt. Gen. J.P. Mathew, who recently completed his tenure.
Air Marshal Singh, an experienced officer of the Indian Air Force, has held several key operational and staff appointments during his distinguished career. He is known for his expertise in air operations, strategic planning, and joint services coordination.
As Chief of Integrated Defence Staff, Singh will play a pivotal role in enhancing synergy among the Army, Navy, and Air Force, while strengthening joint operational preparedness. His appointment comes at a crucial time when integrated defence planning and modernization remain top priorities for India’s armed forces.
Officials expressed confidence that under his leadership, the Integrated Defence Staff will continue to advance India’s defence capabilities and foster greater coordination among the services.
