Srinagar, November 1, 2025 — The Kanyakumari to Kashmir (K2K) Cycling Expedition was officially flagged off from Srinagar today, marking the beginning of a nationwide journey aimed at promoting unity, fitness, and adventure.
The expedition was inaugurated by senior officials from the Indian Army and local administration at a ceremonial event held near Dal Lake. Cyclists from various regions of India are participating in the long-distance ride, which will span thousands of kilometers from the northern tip of the country to its southernmost point.
Organized in collaboration with adventure sports associations and defense personnel, the K2K ride seeks to foster national integration and highlight the spirit of endurance and teamwork.
Participants will traverse diverse terrains and cultural landscapes, engaging with local communities along the way. The expedition also aims to raise awareness about sustainable travel and healthy living.
Officials stated that the cyclists will be supported by logistical teams and medical units throughout the journey, ensuring safety and coordination across all stages.
The K2K Cycling Expedition is expected to conclude in Kanyakumari later this month, with a closing ceremony celebrating the riders’ achievement and the message of unity they carried across India.
