Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri will undertake an official visit to Paris and Berlin from April 12–14, 2026, to co-chair Foreign Office Consultations with France and Germany.
In Paris, Misri will meet French counterpart Martin Briens, Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, to review cooperation in defence, civil nuclear energy, space, cyber security, artificial intelligence, and cultural exchanges. The consultations will also cover global and regional developments, including the West Asia crisis.
In Berlin, Misri will co-chair consultations with Dr. Géza Andreas von Geyr, State Secretary of the German Foreign Office. Discussions will focus on trade, energy security, defence, and technology partnerships, reinforcing India–Germany ties amid geopolitical uncertainty.
The visit underscores India’s active diplomatic engagement with major European partners, following Misri’s recent trip to the United States, and highlights India’s efforts to balance strategic interests across multiple regions.
