At least four people were killed and 28 others injured after a bus crashed in Pakistan’s Punjab province. The accident took place in the Lodhran district when a bus carrying wedding guests collided with a truck and overturned, causing panic among passengers.
According to local authorities, the deceased included two men, a woman and a child. Several of the injured sustained serious injuries and were rushed to nearby hospitals for medical treatment. Rescue teams reached the spot soon after the accident and carried out relief and evacuation operations.
Preliminary reports suggest that overspeeding and negligence may have contributed to the crash. The bus was reportedly overcrowded at the time of the accident. Police have registered a case and launched an investigation to determine the exact cause of the incident.
