New Delhi, November 12, 2025: President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu, will hold bilateral talks today with the President of Botswana, Mr. Duma Boko, during his official visit to India. The meeting underscores the commitment of both nations to strengthening diplomatic, economic, and cultural ties.
The discussions are expected to cover a wide range of issues, including trade and investment, cooperation in education and healthcare, renewable energy, and collaboration in multilateral forums. Both sides are also likely to explore opportunities for enhancing people-to-people exchanges and expanding partnerships in technology and skill development.
Officials from the Ministry of External Affairs noted that the talks reflect India’s growing engagement with African nations and reaffirm the importance of Botswana as a strategic partner in the region. The meeting is anticipated to result in agreements that will deepen bilateral cooperation and open new avenues for mutual growth.
President Murmu emphasized India’s commitment to working closely with Botswana to advance shared goals of sustainable development and inclusive prosperity. President Boko expressed appreciation for India’s support in capacity-building initiatives and highlighted the potential for expanding collaboration across diverse sectors.
