A minor was stabbed to death while another person was seriously injured in a violent incident reported from Delhi’s Moti Nagar area. The incident took place on Sunday evening at a DDA park near the DLF Moti Nagar locality, triggering panic among residents.
According to police, information was received in the evening that a minor boy had sustained serious stab injuries and was being rushed to a hospital. Doctors declared the boy dead on arrival after examining a deep stab wound on his body.
Later the same evening, police received another call reporting a separate stabbing incident in the same area. The injured person suffered a stab wound to the back and was initially taken to a nearby hospital before being referred to a higher medical facility for advanced treatment. His condition is stated to be serious but stable.
Both incidents are believed to have occurred within a short span of time inside or around the same park area. The motive behind the stabbings is not yet clear, and police are examining whether the two incidents are linked.
Delhi Police have registered cases and launched an investigation. Teams are scanning CCTV footage from the area and questioning local residents to identify the attackers and ascertain the circumstances that led to the crime.
