India has expressed deep concern over the attack targeting the Barakah nuclear facility in the United Arab Emirates, calling it a reckless act that endangers civilian lives and regional stability. The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) described the incident as “unacceptable” and emphasized that such attacks on critical infrastructure pose grave risks to peace and security in the Gulf region.
Officials highlighted that the Barakah nuclear facility is a vital energy installation and any attempt to damage it could have catastrophic consequences. India reiterated its solidarity with the UAE authorities and assured support in safeguarding regional stability and the safety of Indian nationals residing in the country.
The government stressed that restraint and dialogue are essential to prevent further escalation, while reaffirming its firm stance against terrorism and aggression. India also underscored the importance of collective international efforts to protect critical infrastructure and maintain peace in West Asia.
