Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha dedicated the newly constructed Vaishnavi Bhawan at the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine in Katra, marking a significant addition to facilities for pilgrims.
The Vaishnavi Bhawan has been built to enhance accommodation and amenities for devotees visiting the holy shrine, which attracts millions of pilgrims annually from across India and abroad.
During the inauguration, LG Sinha highlighted the government’s commitment to improving infrastructure at religious and cultural sites, ensuring comfort, safety, and accessibility for all visitors.
The new Bhawan is equipped with modern facilities, including spacious halls, improved lodging arrangements, and upgraded services designed to handle large influxes of devotees during peak pilgrimage seasons.
Officials noted that the project is part of broader efforts to strengthen tourism and pilgrimage infrastructure in Jammu and Kashmir, reinforcing the shrine’s role as a spiritual and cultural hub.
The dedication ceremony was attended by senior Shrine Board officials, local representatives, and devotees, who welcomed the new facility as a milestone in enhancing the pilgrimage experience at Vaishno Devi.
