Union Minister Pralhad Joshi has said that the India–UK Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) will strengthen economic ties between India and the United Kingdom, providing a major boost to bilateral trade and cooperation.
He emphasized that the agreement safeguards farmers’ interests while opening new opportunities for Indian industries and MSMEs to access UK markets more effectively.
Joshi noted that the pact will enhance exports, reduce trade barriers, and create a next-generation economic corridor between the two nations.
The minister highlighted that CETA aligns with India’s vision of Viksit Bharat 2047, reinforcing the country’s global partnerships and economic resilience.
Officials expect the agreement to help double bilateral trade to $100 billion by 2030, positioning India as a stronger player in international trade and investment.
By balancing domestic safeguards with global opportunities, the India–UK CETA is seen as a landmark step in deepening economic cooperation and strengthening strategic ties between the two countries.
