Kanizsa, August 24: Indian Grandmaster Pranesh M won the Kanizsa Open 2026 title in Nagykanizsa, Hungary, after an impressive nine-round campaign.
The 19-year-old Indian secured the championship with a victory over Germany’s Vadim Petrovskiy in the ninth and final round.
Pranesh finished the tournament with seven points from nine rounds, sharing the top score with three other players. His strong performance in the tournament helped him claim the overall title.
Rated 2673, Pranesh has established himself as one of India’s promising young Grandmasters. The latest triumph adds another international title to his growing list of achievements.
