Mirzapur, November 5, 2025 — A tragic incident occurred at Chunar Railway Station in Uttar Pradesh’s Mirzapur district, where six pilgrims lost their lives after being struck by the Kalka–Howrah Mail train.
According to preliminary reports, the victims were crossing the tracks when the express train approached at high speed. Railway and district authorities rushed to the scene, initiating rescue operations and providing immediate assistance to affected families.
Senior officials from the Railway Protection Force (RPF) and local administration have launched an inquiry into the circumstances surrounding the accident. Efforts are underway to identify the deceased and extend support to their next of kin.
