The All India Shia Personal Law Board (AISPLB) has strongly condemned the recent atrocities committed against Hindu minorities in Bangladesh, describing the violence as un-Islamic and inhumane.
Issuing the statement during its annual convention at the historic Bara Imambara in Lucknow, AISPLB leaders emphasized that Islam strictly forbids the killing of innocent people and urged perpetrators to desist from such acts.
General Secretary Maulana Yasoob Abbas declared that terrorism and those supporting it are enemies of humanity, stressing that no religion can justify violence against innocents.
The condemnation follows disturbing incidents of mob attacks and killings targeting Hindu minorities in Bangladesh, which have drawn widespread concern across South Asia.
Alongside the condemnation, AISPLB passed a 23-point resolution addressing broader issues, including repeal of the Waqf Amendment Act and demands for greater Shia representation in national institutions.
The Board’s stance was welcomed as a reaffirmation of interfaith solidarity and a call for stronger protections for vulnerable communities in the region.
