New Delhi: Teen sensation Anahat Singh defeated compatriot Tanvi Khanna 3-1 to reach the women’s singles final at the Indian Open Squash 2026. The 17-year-old Singh showcased her attacking flair and composure against the experienced Khanna.
Singh took the opening game 11-7 before Khanna fought back to level at 1-1. However, the youngster regained control, winning the next two games 11-6 and 11-8 to seal the match in four games.
With this victory, Singh advances to her first Indian Open final, underlining her status as one of India’s brightest squash prospects. Khanna, despite the loss, earned praise for her spirited performance and tactical resilience.
Singh will now face the winner of the other semifinal in Sunday’s final, aiming to clinch her maiden Indian Open title and further boost India’s presence on the global squash stage.
