The Jammu District ASMITA Women’s Athletics League 2025, organised by the J&K Amateur Athletics Association, concluded at the Jammu University Synthetic Athletics Track on November 16, 2025. The event showcased the talent of over 130 young female athletes competing in Under-14 and Under-16 categories.
Participants took part in a wide range of events including 60m sprints, long jump, high jump, discus throw, shot put, javelin, and triathlon competitions. The league highlighted outstanding performances, with Mahi Manhas winning the Under-14 Long Jump, Upasana Manhas topping the Under-16 Long Jump, and Palak Choudhary excelling in Shot Put and Discus Throw. Nitya Gupta emerged victorious in the Under-14 sprint events.
The ASMITA Women’s League aims to empower women in sports by promoting participation, identifying emerging talent, and providing competitive exposure. The successful organisation of the league underscores the commitment to nurturing grassroots athletics and encouraging young girls to pursue excellence in sports.
