The Australia India Business Council (AIBC) has highlighted the growing momentum of the ‘Make with India’ initiative, underscoring its role in strengthening bilateral trade and investment ties. The initiative encourages Australian companies to collaborate with Indian partners in manufacturing, innovation, and technology-driven sectors.
During recent deliberations, AIBC officials emphasized that ‘Make with India’ goes beyond traditional trade, focusing on joint ventures, co-development, and shared expertise. The approach aims to integrate India’s manufacturing capabilities with Australia’s advanced technologies and resources.
Key areas of collaboration include renewable energy, critical minerals, digital innovation, education, and defence industries. Business leaders noted that the initiative aligns with India’s Atmanirbhar Bharat vision and Australia’s Indo-Pacific strategy, creating opportunities for sustainable growth.
The Council stated that the initiative is gaining traction among industry stakeholders, with several projects already underway. It is expected to boost supply chain resilience, create jobs, and enhance competitiveness in both economies.
Officials reaffirmed that AIBC will continue to facilitate dialogue and partnerships, ensuring that ‘Make with India’ becomes a cornerstone of the expanding Australia–India economic relationship.
