Security arrangements were intensified at Jammu Railway Station on Tuesday as authorities carried out comprehensive checking operations to ensure passenger safety. The heightened measures come in the wake of recent alerts regarding possible threats in the region.
Teams of Jammu and Kashmir Police, Railway Protection Force (RPF), and Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) jointly conducted frisking of passengers, baggage inspections, and surveillance across platforms and entry points. Sniffer dogs and metal detectors were also deployed to strengthen the security grid.
Officials stated that the exercise was part of routine precautionary measures aimed at maintaining law and order and preventing any untoward incident. Passengers were urged to cooperate with security personnel during the checks.
