Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) General Anil Chauhan on Wednesday said the Indian Defence Forces remain fully committed to reforms, jointness and enhanced operational readiness to effectively address emerging and future security challenges. He emphasised that continuous transformation is essential to keep pace with the rapidly evolving nature of warfare.
Speaking on defence preparedness, General Chauhan highlighted ongoing initiatives aimed at strengthening integration among the Army, Navy and Air Force, promoting indigenisation, and optimising resources through structural reforms. He said these efforts are focused on building a technologically advanced, agile and future-ready force capable of safeguarding national interests.
The CDS reaffirmed that the armed forces are steadfast in maintaining high levels of combat readiness while adapting to new domains such as cyber, space and information warfare. He added that reforms underway will further enhance India’s defence capabilities and contribute to long-term national security.
