Prices of commercial LPG cylinders were increased by Rs 195 on Wednesday, raising the cost of cooking gas for hotels, restaurants and other commercial establishments across major metro cities.
The latest revision, announced by oil marketing companies, has pushed commercial cylinder rates higher for the second time in recent months, adding to operational expenses for the food and hospitality sector.
With the hike coming into effect immediately, the new prices vary slightly across metros, but all major cities have seen an increase of Rs 195 per 19-kg cylinder.
Industry representatives said the upward revision will likely impact small eateries and businesses that rely heavily on LPG for daily operations.
Domestic LPG cylinder prices, however, remain unchanged, offering some relief to household consumers.
