The Department of Information and Public Relations (DIPR) organised a one-day workshop on ‘Cyber Security’ to raise awareness about emerging cyber threats and promote safe digital practices among officials and stakeholders.
The workshop focused on key issues such as data protection, cyber hygiene, online frauds, phishing attacks, and the importance of securing government information systems. Experts shared insights on common vulnerabilities and practical measures to prevent cyber incidents.
Speaking on the occasion, officials highlighted the growing dependence on digital platforms and stressed the need for enhanced awareness and capacity building to safeguard sensitive information in the digital ecosystem.
Participants were also briefed on best practices for password management, safe use of social media, and reporting mechanisms for cyber crimes. Interactive sessions allowed attendees to clarify doubts and understand real-life cyber security challenges.
