New Delhi, October 10: The government has rejected an article alleging that the Indian Air Force suffered losses during the Balakot airstrike. The Press Information Bureau’s Fact Check Unit said the article gave a misleading account of the operation.
According to PIB, the report misrepresented how the mission was planned and carried out, distorting the facts surrounding the airstrike. The government disputed the article’s portrayal of the operation and its claims about IAF losses.
PIB described the Balakot airstrike as a carefully planned operation directed at specific targets. It said the mission demonstrated the Indian Air Force’s ability to conduct precision strikes and its readiness to undertake such operations.
The bureau further said the airstrike reflected India’s resolve to deliver a measured response to terrorism. The clarification challenged the article’s narrative about the nature and execution of the Balakot mission.
