External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar will meet Bangladeshi Foreign Minister Khalilur Rahman this afternoon in New Delhi. Mr. Rahman arrived in the capital last evening for a three-day official visit to India.
During his stay, the Bangladeshi Foreign Minister is scheduled to hold discussions with National Security Adviser Ajit Doval, Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal, and Union Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Hardeep Singh Puri. The talks are expected to focus on trade, connectivity, energy cooperation, and regional security.
This visit marks the first by a Bangladeshi Minister to New Delhi since the BNP-led government assumed office in February, underscoring the importance of India-Bangladesh relations and the shared commitment to strengthening bilateral ties.
