The Indian Air Force (IAF) has successfully evacuated more than 300 Indian nationals stranded in Sri Lanka following severe disruptions caused by a recent cyclone. The operation involved multiple sorties using transport aircraft to safely bring citizens back to India.
Authorities coordinated closely with the Indian High Commission in Sri Lanka and local officials to identify stranded individuals and ensure their safe evacuation. Medical assistance, food, and other essential services were provided during the airlift to support evacuees.
The IAF emphasized that the operation reflects India’s commitment to the safety and well-being of its citizens abroad, especially during natural disasters and emergencies.
