New Delhi, November 12, 2025: India and Cuba have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at boosting cooperation in the fields of law, culture, and broader bilateral relations. The agreement reflects the shared commitment of both nations to deepen ties and expand collaboration across diverse sectors.
The MoU is expected to facilitate exchanges between legal institutions, promote cultural initiatives, and encourage joint programs that strengthen people-to-people connections. It also underscores the importance of enhancing bilateral dialogue and fostering mutual understanding through sustained engagement.
Officials from the Ministry of External Affairs highlighted that the agreement builds on the longstanding friendship between India and Cuba, reaffirming their partnership in multilateral forums and collaborative development projects. The MoU is anticipated to open new avenues for cooperation in education, heritage preservation, and institutional capacity-building.
“India values its historic relationship with Cuba and remains committed to advancing cooperation that benefits both nations. This MoU reflects our shared vision for stronger ties and inclusive growth,” said a senior Indian official during the signing ceremony.
Cuban representatives welcomed the agreement, noting that it will strengthen cultural diplomacy and legal collaboration while reinforcing the broader framework of bilateral relations. Both sides expressed optimism that the MoU will serve as a foundation for future initiatives.
