New Delhi, November 4, 2025 — The Government of India has sent humanitarian aid to Jamaica and Cuba following the devastation caused by Hurricane Melissa, reaffirming its commitment to global solidarity and disaster response.
The relief consignment includes essential supplies such as food items, medicines, water purification units, and emergency shelter materials. The aid was dispatched through coordinated efforts between the Ministry of External Affairs and the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF).
Indian diplomatic missions in Kingston and Havana are working closely with local authorities to ensure timely distribution of the relief materials to affected communities. The assistance is aimed at supporting recovery efforts and alleviating immediate hardships faced by residents in hurricane-hit regions.
