Paris, Jun 18: India and France have reaffirmed their commitment to deepen cooperation in innovation, artificial intelligence (AI), and advanced technology during the VivaTech 2026 summit in Paris. The engagement highlighted the growing synergy between the two nations in digital transformation, research, and startup ecosystems.
Union Minister-led Indian delegation underscored India’s rapid strides in AI, digital public infrastructure, and emerging technologies, while French leaders emphasized collaborative opportunities in sustainable innovation, green tech, and cutting-edge research. Both sides agreed to strengthen institutional partnerships, encourage joint ventures, and expand knowledge-sharing platforms.
The reaffirmation comes against the backdrop of India’s expanding role in global technology governance and France’s leadership in European innovation. The partnership is expected to accelerate joint projects in AI ethics, cybersecurity, quantum computing, and clean energy technologies, reinforcing the India–France strategic relationship.
Officials noted that VivaTech 2026 provided a platform for startups, industry leaders, and policymakers to showcase solutions and forge collaborations, with India’s participation drawing significant global attention.
