Two Indian women football coaches have successfully completed the prestigious AFC A Diploma Coaching Course under the FIFA Women’s Development Programme Scholarship, marking a significant milestone for women’s football in the country. The achievement highlights India’s growing presence in international coaching and the commitment to strengthening women’s participation in the sport.
The AFC A Diploma is one of the highest coaching qualifications in Asia, designed to prepare coaches for professional-level responsibilities, including managing elite teams and contributing to grassroots development. The scholarship support from FIFA ensured that deserving women coaches from India could access world-class training and certification.
Officials from the All India Football Federation (AIFF) congratulated the coaches, noting that their success reflects the federation’s broader vision of empowering women in football. The AIFF emphasized that the achievement will inspire more women to pursue coaching careers and contribute to the development of players across age groups.
The course included advanced modules on tactical planning, player management, fitness, psychology, and modern coaching methodologies.
