External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar has said that the government is taking appropriate measures to safeguard India’s strategic and economic interests in the Indian Ocean region. He emphasized that India’s maritime presence is being strengthened to ensure security and stability in the area.
Speaking at a public interaction, Dr. Jaishankar highlighted that the Indian Ocean holds immense importance for trade, energy routes, and regional connectivity. He noted that the government is actively working to enhance naval capabilities, expand partnerships, and secure sea lanes critical to India’s growth.
