J&K Police have attached a residential house in Shopian, valued at ₹23.79 lakh, allegedly acquired through proceeds of drug trafficking.
The property belongs to Abdul Hamid Thoker, son of Abdul Raheem Thoker, of Nusipora Keegam. It was seized under FIR No. 31/2026 registered at Police Station Shopian, invoking provisions of the NDPS Act (1985).
The attachment was carried out in the presence of police officials, an Executive Magistrate, Lambardar, and Chowkidar to ensure transparency and compliance with legal procedures.
This action is part of the wider “Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyan”, under which police have recently attached properties worth crores in Srinagar, Jammu, Rajouri, and Anantnag to dismantle the financial infrastructure of drug traffickers.
Authorities have urged the public to cooperate and share information on drug trafficking to strengthen enforcement against narcotics networks.
