Union Minister Pralhad Joshi has emphasized the need for stronger international cooperation to assist developing countries in expanding their renewable energy capacity. He stated that global collaboration is essential to ensure equitable access to clean energy technologies and to accelerate the transition toward sustainable growth.
Addressing a forum on energy and sustainability, the Minister highlighted that developing nations face challenges in terms of financing, technology transfer, and infrastructure development. He underscored that partnerships with advanced economies and multilateral institutions can play a pivotal role in bridging these gaps.
Joshi noted that renewable energy is central to achieving climate goals and reducing dependence on fossil fuels. He stressed that India is committed to supporting global initiatives that promote clean energy adoption and will continue to advocate for inclusive frameworks that benefit all nations.
The Minister reiterated that scaling up renewable energy capacity in developing countries will not only contribute to climate resilience but also create opportunities for economic growth, job creation, and improved quality of life.
Officials added that India’s experience in expanding solar and wind energy projects can serve as a model for other nations, reinforcing the importance of knowledge-sharing and collective action in the global energy transition.
