Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh has announced that Kathua will soon be connected through an Express Corridor and a gas pipeline, marking a major boost for infrastructure and energy access in the region.
He emphasized that the Express Corridor will enhance road connectivity, reduce travel time, and strengthen trade routes, while the gas pipeline project will provide cleaner energy, support industries, and improve household access to fuel.
Dr. Singh highlighted that these projects reflect the government’s commitment to balanced regional development, ensuring that border districts like Kathua benefit from modern infrastructure and energy security.
Officials noted that the initiatives will also create new employment opportunities, attract investment, and improve living standards for local communities.
