MEA officials conveyed India’s strong protest over the incident, stressing that the safety of Indian nationals and civilian shipping must be respected. The government demanded accountability and urged the United States to exercise restraint to prevent further escalation in the Gulf region.
India reiterated its position that civilian lives cannot be compromised in military actions and called for immediate measures to ensure the protection of Indian crew members operating in international waters.
