Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Kerala and Tamil Nadu tomorrow, March 11, to inaugurate and lay foundation stones for development projects worth over ₹16,000 crore. The initiatives span highways, railways, petroleum infrastructure, and rural connectivity, with major events scheduled in Ernakulam and Tiruchirappalli.
In Kerala, projects worth around ₹10,800 crore include the foundation stone for a Polypropylene Unit at Kochi Refinery, six-laning of NH-66 and Kozhikode Bypass, and the dedication of a City Gas Distribution Network. In Tamil Nadu, projects worth ₹5,650 crore will be launched, including new railway services and infrastructure works across energy and rural development sectors.
These projects are expected to boost regional connectivity, strengthen industrial hubs, and expand access to clean energy, reinforcing the government’s focus on inclusive growth and national infrastructure expansion.
