Jammu, May 29: Northern Railway has announced that normal rail traffic to and from Jammu will be fully restored from May 31, 2026. The decision comes after completion of essential track maintenance and safety inspections that had temporarily disrupted services in the region.
Officials confirmed that all passenger and freight trains operating via Jammu Tawi station will resume their regular schedules from May 31. The restoration is expected to ease travel for thousands of passengers ahead of the summer rush and improve freight movement across North India.
Railway authorities emphasized that the maintenance work was crucial to ensure safe and efficient operations. With the completion of these works, trains will run at full capacity without diversions or delays.
