Defence Minister Rajnath Singh chaired a high-level review meeting to assess the evolving situation in West Asia and India’s preparedness to address potential challenges. The meeting focused on evaluating security implications, safeguarding national interests, and ensuring readiness across defence and strategic sectors.
Singh emphasized that the volatile developments in West Asia require close monitoring and proactive measures. He directed officials to strengthen coordination among defence, intelligence, and diplomatic agencies to safeguard India’s citizens and assets in the region.
The Defence Minister highlighted the importance of maintaining operational readiness of the armed forces and ensuring robust contingency plans. He also underscored the need to protect India’s energy security and trade routes, given the region’s strategic significance.
