Former Jammu and Kashmir Minister Sakina Itoo has strongly demanded that the investigation into the alleged NEET paper leak be conducted in a transparent manner, ensuring that the truth comes out and those responsible are punished. She emphasized that the credibility of India’s premier medical entrance examination must be safeguarded to protect the aspirations of lakhs of students across the country.
Itoo stated that any compromise in the integrity of NEET undermines the hard work of genuine candidates and erodes public trust in the education system. She urged authorities to act swiftly and decisively, holding culprits accountable to restore confidence among students and parents. Transparency in the probe, she said, is essential to prevent future irregularities and maintain fairness in competitive examinations.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah also highlighted the importance of ensuring accountability in such cases, noting that the National Testing Agency and investigative bodies must work together to uphold the sanctity of national-level exams. He reiterated that strict action against those involved would serve as a deterrent against malpractice in the future.
The NEET paper leak controversy has sparked widespread concern among students, parents, and educators, with calls for reforms in examination security and monitoring. The government’s assurance of a transparent investigation and punishment for the guilty is expected to play a crucial role in restoring faith in the system.
