US Secretary of State Antony Blinken described the latest round of talks between the United States and Ukraine on the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war as “productive” but noted that significant work still lies ahead. He said the discussions focused on military support, security commitments, and long-term cooperation aimed at strengthening Ukraine’s defence capabilities.
Blinken highlighted that both sides reviewed the current situation on the battlefield and explored ways to accelerate assistance, including equipment deliveries, training, and intelligence sharing. He emphasized that while progress has been made, several key issues require further negotiation to ensure sustained support for Ukraine.
The Secretary of State reaffirmed Washington’s commitment to standing with Kyiv for as long as necessary, stressing that continued diplomatic coordination is essential as the conflict evolves. Both countries are expected to hold additional rounds of talks in the coming weeks to finalise pending areas of cooperation.
