Gandhinagar, Jun 27: Union Home Minister Amit Shah is set to launch the Bharat Taxi service in Gujarat, introducing a new initiative aimed at modernizing urban transport and providing affordable, reliable mobility solutions for citizens.
The Bharat Taxi platform is designed to integrate technology-driven services with traditional taxi operations, offering real-time booking, transparent fares, and enhanced safety features. Officials said the service will initially roll out in major cities of Gujarat before expanding to other states.
Speaking ahead of the launch, Amit Shah emphasized that Bharat Taxi will not only improve convenience for passengers but also generate employment opportunities for drivers and strengthen the state’s transport infrastructure. The initiative is aligned with the government’s broader vision of smart mobility and digital empowerment.
