US President Donald Trump announced that the United States and China concluded several major trade deals during his recent visit to Beijing. The agreements include purchases of Boeing aircraft, expanded agricultural exports, and commitments in the energy sector, which Trump described as “fantastic deals” benefiting both nations.
According to officials, China agreed to buy 200 Boeing planes with the potential to expand orders in the future. The deal is expected to boost U.S. manufacturing and create jobs. In addition, China committed to increasing imports of American soybeans and other farm products, offering relief to U.S. farmers facing global competition.
Energy cooperation also featured prominently, with China expressing interest in sourcing more American oil to diversify supply routes and reduce reliance on the Middle East. Trump emphasized that these agreements mark a significant step toward balancing trade relations and strengthening economic ties.
Chinese President Xi Jinping hailed the visit as a “milestone” in bilateral relations, while Trump called the deals “historic.” However, experts noted that many of the agreements remain preliminary and symbolic, with long-term impact depending on implementation and resolution of broader tariff disputes.
