US President Donald Trump rejected reports claiming his proposed deal with Iran does not address nuclear issues.
He insisted the agreement explicitly prohibits Tehran from obtaining nuclear weapons and includes detailed provisions on nuclear activities.
Trump emphasized that the United States would take control of and destroy Iran’s stockpile of highly enriched uranium under the deal.
He also highlighted stricter commitments from Iran, stronger language on reopening the Strait of Hormuz, and limits on financial benefits for Tehran.
Iranian officials, however, maintained that nuclear details are not currently under discussion and demanded financial provisions to safeguard sovereign rights.
Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf declared Iran would not approve any deal unless its rights are protected.
In Washington, Senator Chris Coons described Trump’s proposed terms as reasonable but warned they may be difficult to enforce, especially regarding the Strait of Hormuz.
