Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar Radhakrishnan has emphasized that a drug-free youth is essential to realizing the national vision of Viksit Bharat. Addressing a gathering in New Delhi, he underscored the importance of empowering young citizens to lead healthy, productive lives free from substance abuse.
The Vice President noted that India’s demographic dividend can only be harnessed if the younger generation remains focused, disciplined, and resilient. He urged educational institutions, families, and communities to work together in spreading awareness and strengthening preventive measures against drug addiction.
Highlighting the government’s initiatives, Radhakrishnan pointed to ongoing campaigns targeting narcotics control, rehabilitation programs, and youth engagement schemes designed to promote sports, innovation, and entrepreneurship. He stressed that the fight against drugs is not only a health issue but also a national priority tied to India’s developmental aspirations.
“A drug-free youth is the cornerstone of Viksit Bharat. Our future depends on the strength, clarity, and determination of our young citizens,” the Vice President remarked, calling for collective responsibility in building a healthier and stronger nation.
