World Homoeopathy Day 2026 is being observed today, April 10, with the theme “Homoeopathy for Sustainable Health.” The Ministry of Ayush is hosting a two-day interactive forum at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi, bringing together policymakers, researchers, and practitioners to highlight homeopathy’s role in holistic, cost-effective, and environmentally responsible healthcare.
The day commemorates the birth anniversary of Dr. Samuel Hahnemann, the founder of homeopathy. India, which has one of the largest homeopathic workforces globally, is showcasing its strength with 3.45 lakh registered doctors, 8,593 dispensaries, 277 educational institutions, and 34 research centres.
Union Minister Prataprao Jadhav inaugurated the forum, which focuses on integrating homeopathy into Universal Health Coverage and aligning with UN Sustainable Development Goals. Key discussions include the role of homeopathy in addressing chronic conditions, allergies, and lifestyle-related health issues while promoting sustainable practices.
The observance underscores India’s leadership in advancing homeopathy as a holistic, eco-friendly, and affordable healthcare option, reinforcing its relevance in modern health systems worldwide.
