Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday chaired the 53rd PRAGATI meeting at Seva Teerth, where he reviewed six major infrastructure projects across the Railway, Road and Power sectors. The projects, spread across nine states, involve a cumulative investment of more than ₹30,000 crore.
During the meeting, the Prime Minister stressed the need for timely execution, stronger coordination between agencies and faster resolution of pending issues. He said infrastructure projects should be monitored as an integrated whole rather than as separate sections to ensure that their benefits reach citizens, businesses and the wider economy without unnecessary delays.
Mr Modi also called for exploring common utility corridors wherever feasible while planning major transport and infrastructure projects. He emphasised that faster execution must go hand in hand with uncompromising quality and directed ministries, states and implementing agencies to adopt modern technologies and strengthen quality assurance and supervision at every stage.
The Prime Minister also reviewed the progress of the AgriStack initiative under the Digital Agriculture Mission and stressed the effective use of advanced digital technologies, including Artificial Intelligence, to make better use of agricultural data and improve outcomes for farmers. Cyber fraud and digital arrest cases were also reviewed, with emphasis on public awareness, training and stronger coordination to protect vulnerable sections from emerging fraud techniques.
