Bharatiya Janata Party National General Secretary (Organisation) B. L. Santosh has criticised the Aam Aadmi Party government in Punjab over what he described as a deteriorating law and order situation in the state. He accused the ruling party of failing to fulfil its governance promises while issues related to drugs and crime continue to raise concerns.
Santosh alleged that the AAP government has failed to effectively tackle the drug problem and maintain law and order. He questioned the government’s performance on development and governance and said several issues affecting the people of Punjab remain unresolved.
The remarks come amid growing political competition in Punjab, with the BJP seeking to strengthen its organisational presence in the state. The party has also announced its intention to contest all 117 Assembly seats independently.
The BJP has repeatedly criticised the Bhagwant Mann-led government over crime, drug abuse and governance, while the AAP has defended its record and highlighted its development and welfare initiatives.
