New Delhi: The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) on Sunday issued an advisory for foreign nationals currently in India, urging them to contact the nearest Foreigners Regional Registration Office (FRRO) if their travel plans have been disrupted due to the escalating security situation in West Asia.
The advisory assured that visa relief and assistance will be provided to those stranded in India as a result of widespread flight cancellations and airspace restrictions across the region. Officials said foreign nationals can seek help with visa extensions or regularization of their stay through FRRO offices.
The MEA emphasized that India remains committed to supporting foreign nationals during the ongoing crisis and urged them to remain in close touch with local authorities. The advisory comes as several countries in West Asia face heightened tensions, leading to disruptions in international travel and connectivity.
Authorities added that the situation is being closely monitored and that India will continue to coordinate with foreign missions to ensure the safety and well-being of all affected travelers.
