New Delhi, July 1: Union Home Minister Amit Shah today asserted that India has transformed into a digital nation through the rapid expansion of connectivity over the past decade. He highlighted that the government’s initiatives under Digital India have bridged the urban–rural divide and empowered citizens across sectors.
Shah pointed to projects such as BharatNet and the rollout of high-speed internet in villages, noting that these efforts have enabled access to education, healthcare, financial services, and e-governance for millions. He emphasized that technology-driven platforms have improved transparency and efficiency in public service delivery.
The Home Minister underlined that India’s digital journey is not only about infrastructure but also about inclusion, ensuring that every citizen can participate in the nation’s growth story. He reiterated that digital empowerment remains central to building a future-ready India.
