Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw launched multiple new rail services during his visit to Jodhpur, Rajasthan, marking a significant boost to regional connectivity and passenger convenience.
The Jodhpur–Delhi Cantt Vande Bharat Express was expanded from 8 coaches to 20 coaches, addressing rising demand and reducing waiting lists on the busy Delhi–Jodhpur route.
The Sabarmati–Jodhpur Superfast Express was extended up to Jaisalmer, strengthening travel links to the border district and supporting tourism in western Rajasthan.
Vaishnaw also inaugurated a new coach care complex in Jaisalmer via video conferencing, enhancing maintenance and operational efficiency for trains in the region.
From Jalore, the Bhuj–New Delhi train service was flagged off, providing direct access for passengers from Gujarat, Rajasthan, and Delhi.
As part of the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, redevelopment works at Pali station were reviewed, focusing on modern infrastructure and improved passenger amenities.
