The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Monday announced the Annual Player Contracts for the Senior Men’s and Women’s Teams for the 2025–26 season, outlining the central contract lists across different categories.
The contracts are effective from October 1, 2025, to September 30, 2026, and have been finalised based on players’ performances, fitness, discipline and participation in international cricket during the assessment period.
In the senior men’s category, players have been placed under four grades — A+, A, B and C — with top-performing cricketers retaining their positions in the higher brackets. The A+ category includes players who are regular across formats and form the core of the national side.
For the senior women’s team, the BCCI has continued with three contract grades — A, B and C — recognising consistent performers and emerging talent who have made a significant impact at the international level.
The BCCI stated that the central contract system aims to provide financial security to players while encouraging professionalism, accountability and sustained excellence in performance. It also serves as a key tool to reward consistency and commitment to national duty.
Officials highlighted that the inclusion of young and promising players in the contract list reflects the board’s focus on building depth and preparing strong squads for future international assignments.
The announcement of the annual contracts is seen as an important step in the BCCI’s long-term planning, ensuring stability for players and reinforcing its commitment to the development of Indian cricket across both men’s and women’s teams.
