The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) began its protest at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar demanding Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation over the NEET paper leak and CBSE irregularities.
Founded by Abhijeet Dipke, the satirical Gen-Z movement drew hundreds of students, parents, and activists, many wearing cockroach masks and carrying flowers as symbols of resistance.
Delhi Police granted permission for the protest from 10 AM to 5 PM, deploying heavy security with barricades and drone surveillance to maintain order.
Protesters raised slogans such as “Dharmendra Pradhan Istifa Do” and “We asked for Make in India, you gave us Leak in India,” highlighting anger over exam mismanagement.
The CJP, which originated from a viral remark by Chief Justice Surya Kant, has rapidly grown into a digital movement with millions of followers across social platforms.
Public figures including Sonam Wangchuk and actor Prakash Raj have expressed solidarity, amplifying the protest’s visibility and impact.
