The Congress Party has announced six candidates for the upcoming Rajya Sabha biennial elections 2026, with nominations drawn from five states.
Phulo Devi Netam has been nominated from Chhattisgarh, Karamvir Singh Boudh from Haryana, Anurag Sharma from Himachal Pradesh, and M. Christopher Tilak from Tamil Nadu. Senior leader Abhishek Manu Singhvi and Vem Narender Reddy have been fielded from Telangana.
Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge approved the list, which blends experienced leaders with grassroots representatives, aiming to strengthen the party’s presence in the Upper House.
The biennial elections will fill 37 seats across 10 states, with polling scheduled for March 16, 2026.
